This Mercia Insulated Garden Office is an incredibly versatile building that can be used all year round thanks to the Eco-quilt insulation that features in the walls, roof and floor. The walls are consist of three layers, a 16mm tongue and groove outer layer, a 44mm gap in the middle that is filled with insulation, and a 12mm tongue and groove inner wall. The thick walls mean heat is trapped in and any entering noise from the outside is greatly reduced.
Each window used in this building is double glazed as standard and filled with argon, helping to retain the warmth all year round. The roof and floor are built using 16mm tongue and groove cladding and also utilise the same Eco-quilt insulation within their construction. We use an EPDM rubber to cover the roof of this building, EPDM is a membrane designed by Firestone that offers incredibly resilient and long lasting protection against the British weather.
Mercia Insulated Garden Offices are manufactured here in the UK, using sustainably sourced and regulated timber. An added bonus with this Insulated Garden Office is that it does not require planning permission from the local authorities because it is under 2.5m in height. We do advise you check with your local authority to confirm this. All of our insulated garden Offices are fully installed for you as part of the price you pay, meaning all you have to do is sit back and relax whilst our installers erect your new building.

Delivery and Installation Timeframes
We offer same-day delivery and installation services. While we strive to complete the installation on the same day, larger buildings may require more than one day for installation. You can find the estimated delivery and installation lead time for this product on the product page above. Our lead times are calculated in working days (Monday - Friday) and do not include Bank Holidays. These estimates are sourced from the manufacturers and serve as a general guideline, subject to fluctuations in demand. We provide this information in good faith to represent the expected delivery during that period. Please note that some remote areas might experience slightly longer lead times.
Delivery and Installation Procedure
Within 5 working days our partners will reach out to you. This communication will be via either a text message or an automated telephone message. If a mobile number is not provided, the latter method will be used. This message will include the necessary website link where you can review and accept the assembly's terms and conditions. Prompt acceptance of these terms is crucial to avoid any potential delays. Once you've agreed to the terms and conditions, our partners will contact you within the specified timeframe to arrange the delivery and assembly date for your order. Please note that this process might take more time during peak seasons. Keep in mind that the installation team will require unobstructed access to your garden, a minimum of 18" clearance around the building, and a solid, level foundation. It's important to know that the installation team cannot bring the building through your home, as they lack the insurance coverage for entering a customer’s property.
Delivery Day
Typically, this item will be delivered using a 17-ton flat-bed vehicle, similar in size to a council refuse lorry. Deliveries are scheduled within the time frame of 7 am to 7 pm.

How do I ensure my site is suitable for installation?
To make sure the installation of your garden building runs smoothly, it’s vital that we have good access to your site, and that the site itself is fit for purpose. To meet our minimum requirements, we need:
- Direct access to the site - we regret that we cannot undertake an install where access is difficult or indirect
- A level site - this can be checked with a spirit level
- A minimum of 60cm (2ft) clearance surrounding the site
- A base of suitable construction that's at least as big as the footprint of the shed and which has square corners

What sort of base should I build for my garden building?
To make sure your garden building gives you many years of good service, it's vital that it is built on a solid, level base. You must also ensure that your base is at least as big as the footprint of your garden building. There are a few different options for your base, such as:
- Wooden frame base
- Poured concrete base
- Paving slab base
If you're experienced with DIY you may wish to construct your own base. For those who are not keen to build their shed base themselves, we recommend employing the service of a local professional.
